From Prickly Thorns to Purr-fect Snuggles: One Kitten’s Journey
Imagine being tiny and wet. Imagine being stuck in a prickly thorn bush with no way out. That was the scary reality for one small orange kitten in Virginia. It was a rainy day in May. A group of firefighters were finishing a call when they heard a very faint cry. They followed the sound. They found a wet and scared ball of fur trapped deep in the thorns. These heroes did not hesitate. They carefully pulled her out and got her to a vet right away.
But the best part of the story came several months later. This little fighter did not just survive. She found her soulmates. A loving family adopted her from the local shelter. She needed surgery for her eyes to help her see better. And her new family made sure she got it. Now she is healthy and happy. Her new family says she arrived at the exact right time. She changed their lives for the better. I think that is just beautiful. Sometimes the smallest rescues bring the biggest joy to a home. She went from a prickly bush to a soft bed. That is a real fairy tale ending.
Remember this sweet little kitten our firefighters rescued from some thorn bushes last May? We just got an update... and...

Why We Love This
As a dad to five cats, I have a huge soft spot for the "scrappers." There is something so special about a cat that survived a rough start. Orange cats are also known for being a little bit chaotic and very loving. I love that these firefighters took the time to listen for that tiny meow. It only takes one person to listen. It only takes one family to say yes. This story is a great reminder that even the most "stuck" situations can turn into a life full of love.
