A Purr-fect Goodbye: How Almond the Cat Shared Love

Almond is an orange tabby cat with a very big heart. She has a special job as a therapy cat. This means she visits people who are very sick. Recently, she met a man named Dennis. Dennis was in a nursing home and was fighting cancer. As soon as Almond saw him, she knew what to do. She hopped onto his lap. She let him pet her soft orange fur.

Dennis was so happy. He even asked for a photo to show his family. He looked so peaceful with his new furry friend. But here is the part that really touches my heart. Dennis passed away only a few days later. That visit was one of his last happy moments.

I think cats have a secret power. They can tell when someone is hurting. They don't need words to help. They just show up and stay close. And that is exactly what Almond did for Dennis. Why We Love This

I have five cats at home. They all have different personalities, but they all know when I am feeling down. It is amazing how they can change the mood in a room just by being there.
